The Undiscovered Path of Wisdom

The annual pilgrimage to Europe once again is desperately needed. To rekindle lost connections with the fabric of simplicity, to embrace once forgotten memories, to weave the thread of exploration. Yes, I do hope I will once again travel the path of nostalgia. An affair with precious moments to remember over the harsh foreign winter. To be enclosed in the secure hands of familiarity is always needed to fill the hollow crevice that economic instability has engraved in all of us. Well there are more pictures of Europe taken on my last journey to help all familiarize themselves with this forgotten and unseen odyssey of ideologies.....

Nostalgic Moments are for the Lonely

Nostalgic Moments-
As i experience the autumn season once again; a cold yet comforting breeze reminding me of past memories, I feel a certain nostalgia for Europe. This is one of my most treasured photographs that I have of the European Winter. I cannot avoid being entrenched in a melancholy mood when I realize after this nostalgic and sentimental season of autumn, in Australia, i will simply not familiarize myself with the gentle snowfall of winter, only the harsh, inclement winds. But I guess in years to arrive, the Australian winter will hold a certain sentiment as well.

-Survival Guide to the Proletarian Lifestyle-

Hello fellow nihilist and philistines alike!

Well the holidays have come and gone, my 'easter resolution', as I call it to travel the path of enlightenment partially succeeded, although I do feel quite unaccomplished, well i guess we all wish we had more time....i must not rely on my pessimistic side!
On the topic of Pessimism, I wonder if its a natural condition, almost instinctive, a necessity to survival. It is quite a misconception that we only rely on optimism as a survival tactic.
But don't we all need the occasional pessimistic, depressive tendency for us to emerge as aware individuals, don't we all need to experience despair along with euphoria to understand awareness and embrace stability when we receive that moment. Don't we all thrive during misery, every human generally do have masochistic tendencies, some simply conceal it better than others. This pessimistic tendency has numerous positive influences. From deflating grandiosity, to realizing the faults that surrounding, maybe ignorance is not exactly bliss, we cannot simply ignore our problems as they will anchor us to a existence of failure.

Another negative feature that i want to mention alongside pessimism is selfishness. The imagery of a egotistic, megalomaniac Western often arises when selfishness or greed is mentioned, but isn't selfishness an instinct reaction. it has been engraved in our temperament since we were mere neanderthal, a primeval solution, the survival of the fittest! It was necessary for homo-sapiens to flourish to what we are today, highly (or slightly some might argue) evolved, yet still selfish creatures! It is necessary and a natural behavior to an extent.
So one might ask, Is increased act of selfishness what we need during the economic crisis? Not exactly, you see what is limiting growth is that we do not have balance. We are still selfish but we, and this is a generalized comment, lost a certain community spirit. In the generation of immediacy, distance is limiting the possibility to thrive.

Through capitalism and private ownership we have lost our connection with fellow humans. I do not imply we need collectivism, we just need, especially in Australia the missing ingredient, patriotism!
In the land of rising living cost and declining living standard, we need to embrace what we have and share optimism, as well as acknowledging the negatives of the economy. We need to accept our selfish, primeval instinct but use it for our benefit! Such as developing a concern about the standard of living and developing all options of improving lifestyle. We need to learn to fend for ourselves, rather than rely on others.  We need to take control of our own position, and flourish even in times of downfall! referring to the new green day album, we cannot allow a 21st century breakdown, and must do everything in our own power to reweave the faulty stitching in the fabric of humanity, and through selfishness,we can learn to cope on our own. As Darwin stated, "Survival of the fittest".

Well i cannot possibly write such a short post for such a varied concern, so to break tradition and commit taboo- possibly start a revolution of web-anarchy- I shall write a post to continue this topic tomorrow!

A Forgotten Bicycle, A forgotten time

Surrounded by a vivid reverie, as I read Walden, I recall my once forgotten bicycle, covered by dust and lost time, a contraption that has no direction and proper use, withdrawn from the journey of existence, discovery it will not find, in an empty garage. This led me to the sudden epiphany that are connection to nature is slowly fading, the fabric of unity and harmony is declining as we enter a new era of immediacy , to nature we are held by only a faint string of obligation...We have abandoned our once fruitful friendship with nature, relying only upon what we can create in a selfish practice of distancing ourselves from our surroundings...rather than adapting to nature, as our neanderthal relatives did once long ago, a forgotten practice of a forgotten time/era, we prefer to gain advantage and destory that embrace we once shared wit nature......there is quite a suitable quote Thoreau writes about our relationship with nature,
"I wish to speak a word for nature, for absolute freedom and wildness, as contrasted with a freedom and culture merely civil,- to regard man as an inhabitant, or a part and parcel of nature, rather than a member of society".
-"Excursions", Walking-

This is exactly why this ignorant battle we have been having with nature, a war to dominance is completely foolish, as if we fight against nature, we ultimately fight against humanity, for we are in a hollow crevice named humanity, embedded in the core of life....nature.....

"Nature must be viewed humanly to be viewed at all; that is, her scenes must be associated with humane affections, such as are associated with one's native place, for instance. She is most significant to a lover. A lover of nature is preeminently a lover of man. If I have no friend what is nature to me? She ceases to be morally significant". -Journal, June 30, 1852-

MONDAY UPDATE-

I truly wonder if anyone has actually seen my blog entries, or am I like the little prince isolated on asteroid B612? Well if anybody does read my blog, please leave a comment to encourage me on the path of Bloglightenment- enlightenment.

On other news, listen closely for this next sentence may change your life.............................
I am introducing a BRAND NEW SEGMENT- (insert cheering crowds here)
And it is called......
What have I been doing this week?
Well since it is the beginning of the week....monday,
I only have one event that i can recollect....I do have a very peculiar memory selection,
American History i can remember in an instant even though I do not actually require it for school but remembering my day.....
not quite.......
But that single event is that I have DEFINITELY not been getting enough sleep....I must have narcolepsy or insomnia...one of the two...preferably one that has been glamorized by the media...as a MUST HAVE sleeping disorder because all the celebrities have it and that is why they were humongous amounts of make up- fake enthused tone-
Maybe I shall do what Tolstoy did when dreams did disturb him....work on the fields with fellow proletarian counterparts.....
well I shall finish this post now as I have a sudden urge to play bass.....
Au Revoir, Ciao, Sziasztok, Goodbye.....

Nihilists vs Philistines

Consumerism, capitalism, materialism........doesn't the image of corporate exploitation form as soon as those words are uttered?
12:41am, among the aimless souls wondering the internet highway,
I wonder about the true nature and ideology of "Materialism".
In our modern day society it has become the ultimate identity of the "Western World"
A land of hierarchy and class division, defined by materials and wealth.
Corruption and propaganda a accepted technique of advertisement,
a cycle of dissatisfaction roaming the supermarket shelves.
We rely on choice but we have come to be manipulated by the cruel strings of private ownership and capitalism, mere puppets. We have been blinded by false expectations and affluent surrounding.
However as we came to worship these acquisitive tendecies, we have also lost the war of consumerism,
our innocence vanished, stained by greed and selfishness, we matured yet too early, the muted screams of reason all but concealed under the tempting offers of indulgence and luxury. We became hypnotized in the world of neon signs and aritifical happiness. I often wonder, in the barren wastelands of consumerism, can we find true satisfaction? Can we find the reinvigorating spring of enlightenment? Well I will continue this blog tomorrow....I am only 14, I shouldn't probably develop narcolepsy or insomnia this soon in my stages of life.......
Ciao, Goodnight, bonne nuit, buona notte, jo estet, dobrou noc, Oyasuminasai, Guten Nacht, and that is all of my linguistic abilities I can apply to saying goodnight.....Remember stay away from the temptations that arise from the cycle of dissatisfaction! :)
