Nihilists vs Philistines

Consumerism, capitalism, materialism........doesn't the image of corporate exploitation form as soon as those words are uttered?
12:41am, among the aimless souls wondering the internet highway,
I wonder about the true nature and ideology of "Materialism".
In our modern day society it has become the ultimate identity of the "Western World"
A land of hierarchy and class division, defined by materials and wealth.
Corruption and propaganda a accepted technique of advertisement,
a cycle of dissatisfaction roaming the supermarket shelves.
We rely on choice but we have come to be manipulated by the cruel strings of private ownership and capitalism, mere puppets. We have been blinded by false expectations and affluent surrounding.
However as we came to worship these acquisitive tendecies, we have also lost the war of consumerism,
our innocence vanished, stained by greed and selfishness, we matured yet too early, the muted screams of reason all but concealed under the tempting offers of indulgence and luxury. We became hypnotized in the world of neon signs and aritifical happiness. I often wonder, in the barren wastelands of consumerism, can we find true satisfaction? Can we find the reinvigorating spring of enlightenment? Well I will continue this blog tomorrow....I am only 14, I shouldn't probably develop narcolepsy or insomnia this soon in my stages of life.......
